New patients

Knowing exactly what will happen makes the first visit easier — especially when you're bringing a baby or a nervous kid. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.

Your first visit, step by step

  1. 1

    Before you arrive

We'll send your intake paperwork by email so you can fill it out at home instead of in the waiting room.

  2. 2

    The conversation

We sit down and talk. Health history, pregnancy and birth history, symptoms, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for.

  3. 3

    The examination

A gentle, age-appropriate assessment of posture, movement, muscle tone, and neurological function. Nothing painful, nothing rushed.

  4. 4

    The findings

We explain what we found in plain language — what's going on, whether chiropractic can help, and what it would take.

  5. 5

    Your first adjustment

If care is appropriate, we begin the same day with gentle, specific adjustments matched to your body and comfort.

  6. 6

    Home support

You'll leave with a couple of practical things to do at home that hold the change between visits.

Practical details

Timing

About an hour

First visits run roughly 45-60 minutes. Follow-ups are typically 10-20 minutes, which makes them easy to fit into a real schedule.

Clothing

Come as you are

Wear comfortable everyday clothes you can move in. There's nothing to change into.

Bring

What to bring

Your completed intake forms, any recent imaging or relevant records, and your questions. For babies, bring whatever keeps them happy.

Kids

Children welcome

Bring them. Toys, a place to play, and staff who don't flinch at a fussy baby are part of the deal.

Payment

Insurance and payment

Currently, we accept cash and debit/credit cards. Although we do not accept insurance, we are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Access

Parking and access

Located inside Stuart MedSpa at the far end of the parking lot. Come in and have a seat, Dr. Rex will meet you soon.

How we think about care plans

After your exam we recommend a specific plan: how many visits, how often, and when we'll formally reassess. You'll know the scope before you commit to anything.

At the reassessment we compare against what we found on day one and talk honestly about progress. If you're improving, we celebrate and lower your frequency. If you're not, we change the approach or refer you to someone better suited to help.

Our care plans are designed to encourage you to take control of your health. By committing to a care plan, we discount 7% off the total when you pay up front.

If you'd rather not commit, that is completely fine. You can pay the full price per visit and still receive the same quality of care.

Frequently asked

How long is the first visit?

Plan for about 45 minutes to an hour. That covers your history, the examination, and time to talk through what we found. Follow-up visits are much shorter.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. No gowns, no changing.

Do you take insurance?

Although we do not accept insurance directly, we highly recommend you call your insurance to see what your chiropractic benefits are. We are happy to provide you a superbill to submit for reimbursement.

Can I bring my kids to my appointment?

Absolutely. This is a family practice and children are always welcome in the office — including during your own visit.

Will I be adjusted on the first visit?

Usually yes, as long as the examination shows it's appropriate. If we need imaging or a referral first, we'll explain why before anything else happens.

Do you require a long-term care plan?

No. We recommend a specific number of visits with a built-in reassessment point, and you decide from there.
